Today's Pix

It has been our plan to take our family pix in the studio. The best pic will be used as our Christmas post card for the whole family and friends. I have already made one dozen of personalized Christmas card to be sent to loveones abroad. These pictures were taken today right after church. We were supposed to wear red outfits but since I don't have one, we wore white instead. The package for studio pictures was really cheap..only $2(Php 99) for 5 poses. Oh yeah it's really good to live in the Philippines because everything here is cheap except for properties.

Bright Light

Bienne and hubby love to read books everyday day. That's is why I made sure that our indoor lighting is bright enough to protect themselves from eye problems. Would you believe that our chandelier in our bedroom and living room have 8 bulbs at 25watts each, that's how bright our bedroom and living room are. I don't mind paying extra bucks for electric bill, what matter to us is to have a healthy eyes after reading those thick pocketbooks.

Wear Protective Gear

Bienne is turning seven this coming December 12 and she is now excited to celebrate her birthday with her teachers and classmates. At her age now, it is just common that she has so many questions to ask. Just like today in the parking lot, she saw a lady wearing a protective gear on her face, it was a mask covering her nose. Bienne was so anxious to know the answer , good thing a had a little idea about mesothelioma and so I told her that the lady is protecting herself from inhaling the hazardous product that surrounded her.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!?How do you celebrate your holiday? For the hapifam, they will be having a small "salo2x" tonight in their sweethome apartment in Cebu. The hubby is now preparing for a special meal while the wife is taking care of their baby Arianna.

I can't wait to taste the food cooked by hubby. The thanksgiving won't be complete without thanking God for everything. Thank you Lord.

Update : We were done eating and oh the sweet potato with marshmallow was so delicious! I ate almost half of it !! We also had mashed potato and turkey ( I mean Tiktilaok).

Xmas Tree Party

The spirit of Christmas is already in our rented home sweet home . We already put up and decorated our artificial Christmas tree yesterday . This is the second Christmas that we used this tree , decors and lights. And also the second time of hubby to celebrate Christmas & New Year here in the Philippines. This season is a busy month for us because we will be celebrating Bienne’s birthday(Dec 12), Baptism of baby Arianna (Dec. 27 or 28), D-Group Christmas party here in the house(Dec 23), Christmas day (Dec25) with my family from Gensan, and New year’s day. Four members of my family in Gensan will be with us here in Cebu(to celebrate with us and see Arianna for the first time) Wow! It’s gonna be a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year for all of us. Exciting !!!

Let's Play Golf

There are so many golf courses here in the Philippines but never did I try playing this kind of leisure because I can’t afford it and I don’t have the idea on how to play it. Not until one day, my hubby surprised me of bringing Wii and I was able to play golf as if for real because I can feel the pressure of the handle while hitting the ball. Bienne is good on this type of game, she learned so fast and I always lost each time we play. I told her that we should play on the golf course , and she laughed because she can’t carry the gulfclub . I guess I should attend some golf lessons first before going to the actual golf course to save me from embarrassment. Hubby said that the place where we live next year has a golf course and other amenities. That would be very exciting, to live in a first class world. Gosh! Can I live in such place? I used to live in the third world country you know and I’m comfortable with it but I’m not closing my door to see the beauty of Temecula California.

What's New

Its been almost a week that I didn't update this blog.If you ask me why, then I'll tell you the truth, I'm waiting for the opp or assignment to be done but since this blog was submitted to only one advertising network so obvoiusly there's not much of opportunities. But just recently, I submitted this blog to another advertising companies (reviewme and payperpost) and I'm still waitng for approval, I hope this blog will be approved soon. There is nothing new really..except that the hapifam members are happy seeing Arianna smilling everyday. She is now two months old and just had her 5-in-1 shot today. She was pretty brave during and after the shot..she only cried less than a minute. Here's the picture of her crying and smiling.

Feeding Tips

I have two tips to share on how to feed (bottle feeding) the baby. My all-around-maid told me these tips that really work well on the baby. Before, I can't let the baby finish her milk and I was worried that she won't get enough food to supply her needs. But now she drinks so fast and finish it in just few minutes. To those mothers who don't know about these tips yet, you can apply it to your baby as well. Here it goes : 1. Do not close the cap of the baby bottle so tightly, make sure that the air can get inside the bottle, just close it enough not to spill the milk out. 2. Use soft bottle nipples so it is easier for the baby to suck, make sure also that the hole is not too small.

Bonding Time

This is what life is all about..being with my kids and husband. There is nothing more I can ask for. I am happy with my life. I never been happy like this before. My kids and hubby make my world go round. I remember before (right after college), I thought it was the end of the world for me.I was unhappy when all of my friends gone for work.I felt so alone.They are happy with their job..I was not. I hate pressures in work and all I got was very low salary. All I want now is being a mother and a wife. But of course I like blogging as a part time job..ehehehe!

Amazing Dad

My children call him Daddy.. An amazing dad. I received great comments from my friends here about my husband's great personality. He's so sweet to Bienne, they always play non-stop when they are together. They even play MMA if possible ( I mean with Bienne). On the other hand, he's also so sweet to baby Arianna, big time. He can make Arianna smile the moment he would say something to her or play with the baby. Speaking of my amazing hubby, he's so hands-on to our baby, gosh I don't need to wake up every night to feed the baby..he does. In fact I can get my 7-8 hours sleep each night. I'm such a lucky wife/mom. Please don't change my luv, hehe!

Persimmon

Everyday except Saturday and Sunday, I hear my husband talking to his employee. They talk about his business in the US. I don’t listen though but when he talks about different names of plants to be planted in clients’ location, I listen. After their conversations, I do ask my husband what the plants look like and I have so many follow up questions about plants. I even asked him few times about the prices of the plants he purchased in the nursery. Most of the prices are really expensive. There is one item called a Persimmon trees that I’m curious about and I asked him if he also plant such tree, he said yes. Now I want to plant this tree in our backyard and eat the fruit someday.

We've been waiting for the time that Baby Arianna can be held in sitting position so we can take a nice angle for our family picture. I want to change my main profile picture here. If baby Anne can understand she might ask why she's not in the photo for Happy Family blog. This picture was taken today after church using automatic shot. I want to update her age by this post : Baby Anne is exactly 6weeks and four days.

Remedy for Excess Fats

After I gave birth six weeks ago, I was shocked when I saw my tummy, it looked like I was still six months pregnant. I didn’t expect this because when I had my first pregnancy, I had flat tummy immediately. Seeing my huge tummy, the first thing popped up in my head is to take weight loss pills to get rid of my excess fats. My OB said that nothing to worry about because after one month , my uterus will just shrink. She was right, now my tummy is back to normal as if I didn’t give birth.
