New Helper

We are so happy that two days in a row that Arianna was very tame, no more crying. That's good news. She just sit on her car-seat even if she was inside the house. She maybe thought that we are travelling. Yesterday and today are the easiest days of our lives. We know the trick now, that we will just put her in the car-seat. I hope this would last long so no more hearing those loud cries that made my ulo so init.

Today, hubby and I were able to swim at the same time while baby was on the car-seat and Bienne was beside her. Hanging out in the pool is one of our favorite things to do, good thing that the pool is just accross the street either we are in our house in Temecula or here in mom-in-law's place. What a great place to live in.

Our new helper is so helpful to us. Car-seat, you rock! Thank you to the inventor of this stuff.

It's a Baby Girl

Yes, it’s a baby girl! Yehey! Congratulations sister Mayang. Her wish was granted to have a baby girl. She’s now 5 months pregnant. What an awesome gift from God. My sister will be turning 31 this May 29. Her weekend vacation here in Temecula, CA was a blast. We spent our time in the house, pool and Target! Hehe! She has a sensitive pregnancy so instead of going to the mall; she preferred to just buy stuffs at Target and Ross. She bought a lot of things for Bienne, I think it's her craving to buy a lot for Bienne. I hope Bienne wont get spoiled of all the things she got. Arianna already had her share before so she’s not jealous of it. Haha! By the way, my sister brought me 10-pair of sandals/shoes(as her pasalubong to me). Wow! that's the reason why I didn't shop for my funny feet because my sis did it for me.

My sister and my brother-in-law liked Temecula and so they are planning to move here someday. They are now searching for a house for sale here and they are hoping to purchase in two years or so. If their plan will push through, it’s gonna be a big happy family reunion always! Hehe!

Sales Training

I was once working in a call center and for me it was a nightmare! I will never ever work in the call center again. Reasons: 1. There are so many irate customers that would really affect you emotionally especially if they yell at you. 2. There are few nasty callers. 3. the AC temp is set on negative for the sake of the computers. 4. Lying is part of the deal.

But there are so many applicants want to work in a call center. Go ahead and get an experience. You should be willing to take all the risks like working on the graveyard shift and willing to take pressure during calls. First thing to learn though before taking calls is to attend sales training and be very attentive for the tricks in order to close the order.

I dare

I dare to drive for few reasons : there are no other cars driving around the neighborhood so I'm confident that no one would hit me or the other way around. Second, it's easy to drive if its automatic (not manual) car. Third, I need to learn to drive because not all the time that hubby is available when he's at work. Last, it's my dream to drive an auto.

But I can't drive outside the neighborhood yet because I don't have a license, and I need to master the signs, the traffic rules and regulations. And yes, I have to take driving test first and foremost. I knew some Filipinas had undergone 3 to 4 times before they have given a driver's license. My goal is to take only once so I will take my time to learn more about actual driving. Good thing, that the road here is not as crowded than in other states or cities, so there’s no need to be scared.

Got a Chance

I got a chance to update my blogs and posted assignments. I have talked about how hard Arianna these past few days but for two days now she became mellow, how happy we are here. I had an idea that if she wants to be held again, I will just stroll her around the yard or in the neighborhood. It is easier to push the stroller than carrying her for hours.

My MIL is also here to help me watch the baby. She'll be staying here for three days and come back again whenever she has a time. It is good when she's here because she loves going out with the kids( I can nap and do my blogging stuff) and not to mention I can copy the American foods she's preparing. I love to learn how to cook or prepare their foods, very delicious and easy to prepare.

Ship and box

It’s time to hang pictures on the wall. I reminded my hubby to go to the frame store and had our two pictures to put on frame. We didn’t know yet the price so we asked the Chinese lady if she can give us an estimate and viola it was roughly $100! Shocked? Yes! We went to Walmart instead and bought frame worth $12. We saved a lot. If only we knew that the price of costumed frame is that expensive, we should’ve had put the old costumed frame on one of our shipping boxes when we were packing our things.

Separation Anxiety

Arianna is having a separation anxiety. She would cry and scream when she wont see me or hubby around her. This happened for over a week now. Yes, when this happens I keep my patience longer. But when I lost my patience I would scream as well using my dialect, as in muyawyaw jud ko sa kalagot. Hubby said that we just let her cries for 10 minutes or so, so we can rest. When hubby is at work and only me and Bienne at home, sometimes I would like to cry not because I’m sad but because I don’t know what to do with Arianna to tame her. I did everything that would make her contented. I don’t understand why she has to cry even if she’s not hungry, even if she has dry diaper, or even if she has toys around her. She likes to be held most of the time. She’s not easy to take care in some point. I should be strong physically in order for me to survive everyday. Sometimes, I don’t have time to cook, and no time to do what I need to because all my time is to baby sit Arianna. Hubby said one time that I don’t have a life anymore if I won’t let her cry so she’ll get tired and she falls asleep. Yes, she does nap but only for few minutes. The bottom line of this post is that I love Arianna so much and I wish that one day she would change and doesn’t cry anymore and I hope she’ll nap for three straight hours during the day. Gosh, being a mom is not easy. You don’t understand what I’m saying if you are not a mother yet.

PS : The good thing though is that when we are out of the house (park,pool,mall,or any store), she is so kind. She'll just sit on the stroller and looking around.

Cell Tower

I’m happy because hubby gave me a new cell phone the next day we arrived here in the US. I can text my family and friends back in the Philippines whenever I miss them. Really, I didn’t feel any homesickness at all after a month of living here. I have a great signal even my OFW sim can receive a text message from Phil without delay. If my new cell receives great signal here, not the cell of my hubby. He has to get a cell tower in order to get a clear signal.
